版主最近無意中讀到下面的文字,初見時特愛其中的用字遣詞,一查之下發現,原來此乃莎翁詩句,難怪沒有任何酸腐之氣。這段話出自於《馬克白》的第五幕第五景,版主該找個時間好好欣賞這齣名著。

Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,

To the last syllable of recorded time;

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools

The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!

Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player

That struts and frets his hour upon the stage

And then is heard no more.

It is a tale

Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury

Signifying nothing.

明天、明天、又明天,

光陰荏苒,日復一日緩緩潛行,

直到最終的滴答聲響;

逝去的昨日照耀愚人,

領其步上歸塵的死途。

滅了吧、滅了吧,這短暫的燭火!

人生不過是四處飄流的陰影,

舞台上可憐的演員,
