writing-email

Hi Wayne,

I think it is important that Aflex has multiple people with access to our system. As you state, there could be any number of reasons why having a backup person is a good idea.  Our company’s other ODMs have many people setup for system access with many different people submitting and approving change requests.

Kathy

3.  As you state - 如同你所說的 (慣用的提醒用法),其他類似的用法包括:As you have said 或 As you have stated。

ODM is a company which manufactures a product which ultimately will be branded by another firm for sale.

8. submit 遞交

9. approve

writing-email

Wayne,

I will submit a support request to correct this issue.  I’ll let you know when the support team indicates the problem is fixed.

Kathy

Mother: The phone is ringing.
Son: I’ll answer it!

3.  the problem is fixed = 解決問題 / 等同於 “the issue is corrected (resolved)”。

writing-email

Wayne,

I have submitted a support request to correct this issue and will let you know when the support team responds.

Kathy

1. 我又寫信煩了她一次,於是她就將 “I will submit a support request” 改成 “I have submitted a support request”,告訴版主她已經在處理問題了。

writing-email

Wayne,

This change has now been made.  Please note that it could take up to 24 hours for the change to take effect in the system.
Regards,

Kathy

2. take effect -

writing-email

Wayne,

I will check with the support team to find out why this isn’t working. I’ll let you know as soon as they indicate it’s resolved and you can try again.

Kathy

1. check with - 詢問。

2. support team -

3.  this isn’t working -

The copy machine is not working. Could you please send someone up to fixt it?

My car is acting up again.

writing-email

Wayne,

I think I finally understand what has been causing some of the issues we’ve seen. I submitted two support requests today to correct the problems but it’s possible these two corrections will result in additional changes being necessary.  Please bear with me as (= while) I work with the support team to correct the problems and get everything setup correctly. I believe we should have everything fixed by the end of the week.

Regards,

Kathy

1. has been causing some of the issues -

2. submit

3. result in = 導致。這句話由兩個部份組成:result in + additonal changes are necessary。
result in addtional changes being necessary

4. bear with sb =

5. as = while 『當…』。

6. get sb/sth +

writing-email

Wayne,

I am continuing to work with the support team to understand why their changes are not taking effect. I believe there are some bigger setup issues so please wait until I am able to address those issues. When does mass production begin?

Regards,

Kathy

Bill earns about 70 dollars a month, and he is saving some of the money to go to college.

2. take effect -

3. until - 直到

4. address - 解決 (= fix, correct, tackle)

5. When does mass prodcution begin?

writing-email

Wayne,

Sorry, the support team still has not corrected all the problems. FYI, in order to correct the problems, I have to remove you from the project and request that you be added back to the AFlex group. You should be (應該) added back and properly setup by the end of tomorrow (Wed).
Regards,

Kathy

1. FYI- “For Your Information”

Bill earns about 70 dollars a month, and he is saving some of the money to go to college.

We ask that the construction of this nuclear power plant (should) be postponed indefinitely.

The crowd clamored that the rapist (should) be hanged.

The opposition insisted that the prime minister (should) be stepped down immediately.

Hundreds of writers and artists have signed a paper demanding that the ridiculous structure (should) be torn down.

3. should be - 應該

writing-email

Wayne,

This issue has been escalated to a separate support group so I am hopeful they will be able to fix the issue.  Please note that when a change request moves to a new state the QuIX system automatically sends a notification email to the new state owner.  I’m not sure how useful the notification options available through TeamTrack are or how well they work. But you are certainly free to try them.

Regards,

Kathy

All,

I believe that the problem that has not allowed Wayne to be manually assigned change requests has finally been resolved.  As of this morning, I was able to find Wayne in the list of available users.

I am sorry that it took so long to resolve the issue. Please let me know if you still have problems with this.

Regards,

Kathy
